Flower Child | Styled Wedding Inspiration
The Hudson Valley may be covered with snow, but we’re already thinking spring and summer with these inspirational, flower-filled images by Duetimage Photography made in collaboration with some of the Hudson Valley’s most talented wedding pros: Barbara Kerner of Styles des Reves Custom Dressmaking; Dennis Nutley of The Green Cottage; David Urso of David Urso Jewelry; Bridgette Lewis of Signature Braids; Karen Schrowang of LaV Beauty; Lynda Laestadius of Grounded Catering; and special thanks to Lydia Bailey of Charmed Places and The Bell Tower wedding venue in Rosendale.
This styled session began with a wedding pantsuit for confident, take-charge brides designed by Barbara Kerner worn by our lovely model Chloe O’Shaugnessy. Here like the Greek goddess Flora she is emerging from her long winter’s sleep from the walk-in cooler at The Green Cottage where most of the following images were photographed in High Falls.

Now it’s time to prepare for a flower-filled springtime wedding. Bridgette Lewis of Signature Braids created this free-spirited updo bound with a simple, wide silk ribbon. Karen Schrowang’s ever-so-subtle makeup artistry (a hallmark of LaV Beauty) enhanced Chloe’s features while maintaining a natural, yet elegant look.
The Green Cottage is the perfect place for brides to shop for accessories thanks to the in-house jewelry designs of David Urso whose unique pieces help to make your wedding a one of a kind affair.

Now it’s time for some phone calls to get the rest of the wedding plans underway. Here we are with Chloe in the office of the Green Cottage where brides can sit down to discuss their floral designs.
Chloe’s thinking about a flower adorned sweetheart table setting at Rosendale’s The Bell Tower wedding venue just down the road.

Here’s closer view of this tablescape along with accents and stationery provided by ace wedding planner Lydia Bailey of Charmed Places.
Now it’s time to sample these sliced almond and flower decorated wedding cakes by Lynda Laestadius of Grounded Catering. Available in a variety of colors, these cakes can easily match any event decor.
Here’s another look at Chloe, accessorized with a stylish sunhat — another offering of The Green Cottage’s gift shop.
Until next time, we hope we’ve chased away some of winter’s gloom and brightened your day with thoughts of the upcoming wedding season, especially your Hudson Valley event!
